Analysis of Economic Inequality and Human Development: A Case Study of West Sumatra Province in 2015-2019

West Sumatra Province is one of the provinces with diverse human resources. This situation causes need for resource management to encourage economic growth. study aims identify development, inequality and as well relationship between development in 2015-2019. The basic data used analysis are GRDP Human Development Index (IPM) using quantitative descriptive methods. Economic was analyzed Location Quotient (LQ) Klassen typology, while Entropy Theil. research showed that typology results were dominated by developed but slow regions which amounted nine regencies/cities based on LQ urban areas had a base sector secondary tertiary sectors, rural sector. HDI has increased accompanied an increase entropy, indicate high not evenly distributed. In addition, there strong terms per capita HDI. shows growth triggers improvements health education sectors so it good impact quality needs even distribution.
